What is the best over the counter medicine for extreme lower back pain?

T.T. asked: I've iced it... heated it... and taken everything from Alieve, Darvocet to Bayer Back & Body... nothing is helping. It usually goes away after a few days, but there has got to be something to help with the deep muscle pain. Any suggestions???

How to ask my doctor to switch me to lortabs for back pain?

Mortishkva asked: I've been having bad lower back pain for 3months now, Recently my doctor put me on 50mg tramadol which doesn't work at all and my question is how can i ask my doctor to switch me to lortabs without looking like a pill-head?
